Why do people in Zombie movies. Act like they never heard of Zombies before. They all have some assumed historical education?

Because the POINT of a zombie movie isn't REALLY about the zombies, it's about people reacting to the fall of civilization.  It's about isolation and the decay of society.  This is why the CDC actually published a zombie survival guide...because the things you would do in the event of a zombiepocalypse are pretty much the same as you'd do in a major natural disaster that cut a region off from help and supplies.

Y'know except for shooting everyone in the head.
