Unless I have clearly and explicitly agreed to be exclusive with someone, then I'm free to NOT be exclusive. Yes, when I'm not in a committed to exclusivity relationship I don't have any problem with going dancing with David on Friday night then picnicking with Sam on Sunday afternoon.

It's not like I go around telling my dates "I'm seeing someone else later this week." That would be not only rude but TMI. But if some fellow thought that enjoying a few dates with him meant he was the only man in my life, then some fellow thought wrong. Setting a man straight on this usually consisted of "I'm not your girlfriend; I'm your date."
