if i took an applied math class all 4 years of highschool, will it lessen my chances of getting admitted to Washington State University?

math has always been difficult for me. im a senior now still in a low level of math but im taking 2 AP classes

    Yes, that very well could hurt your chances.  The academic requirements for admission to Washington state colleges and universities are provided here:

    You need 3 math courses - algebra, geometry, and algebra 2 - at a minimum.  Or you can take the equivalent if your school uses the "integrated math" curriculum instead.

    Does applied math mean it is easier than usual college-prepatory math?  Then yes.

    When you say two AP classes, do you mean AP Calc and AP Stats?  They would improve your chances.
