Good war movies about friends and brothers, boot camp or the team?

I could not get into we were soldiers, but I liked full metal jacket, navy seals, jarhead, Gi Jane, hurt locker, American sniper, platoon, Mine.

Update:

We were soldiers started off too boring and seemed too dramatic the whole time with the music.

It was a half hour already and still they were showing civilian life and the base. I guess I did not care for the feel of it or the actors. Maybe it gets good later?

Band of Brothers, perhaps the best one of all, but it's a 10-part miniseries, each episode is an hour long.

Battleground, but it's in b&w if you don't like those movies.

    Hacksaw Ridge

The Longest Day, also in b&w.

    The Siege of Firebase Gloria

Have a look at some of older movies like The Great Escape and The Guns of Navarone. There's alot of good older movies as well.
