Is it against the Bible to take pride in being a child of God?

Bonus question: Can a person call themselves a "soldier of God", I want to call myself that now instead of some dude from a DBZ movie.

Pride is never acceptable. If you are a child of God then its because he called you. He is the Father, you are his child. You had nothing to do with that. Ditch the pride. Replace it with gratitude and praise.

2 Timothy 2:3-4 KJV — Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

No. Those of us who are children of God should be proud of that. Sure you can call yourself a "soldier of God" and even moreso if you are a coworker with God.

A person can battle pride and other sins using the rosary and fasting.
