What does Los Angeles have over Miami ?

Hollywood and lots of movie stuff maybe? That's about all I can think of, even though L A is bigger Miami is way more happening!

Weather.

Surrounding mountains

Food.

Weather (yeah, again....it's that much better)

If all you want out of life is to live in a club, then I guess Miami gets a plus.

No humidity.

Superior cultural institutions -- the Getty and Los Angeles County Museums, for example, and much better colleges and universities. I could name many more.

I lived in LA and disliked it, but if I had to choose between LA and Miami, LA would win hands down.

Lower humidity so the heat isn't as bothersome

They are both undesirable places to live, but their outskirts are ok, especially Miami's. they are very similar in a lot of ways too. I'm guessing the property is much more expensive in Miami.
