Why do global warming deniers believe there is an "ideal" temperature?

There have been questions recently claiming that there is a paper that states that some "ideal" temperature for life.  Presumably they're talking about a temperature when life would be most likely to form on a planet.  That has nothing whatsoever to do with our current climate and the problems that might arise from an increase in global temperature.  Why is it so hard for deniers to grasp that our infrastructure (buildings, agriculture, etc.) was developed based on mid-20th century climate, and increasing the temperature from that can cause serious harm??  I'd love things to be a bit warmer myself, but should we really sacrifice New Orleans, Miami, Sacramento etc. for that? Should we take our existing agricultural infrastructure and shift it poleward? Should we spend money to build more water storage systems because we have less and less snow pack?

I really don't understand why deniers have such problems with relatively simple concepts, except that they refuse to think about anything except at a superficial level.

Update:

It's funny how the troll keeps asking the same question about this, he has two open questions about it now. I guess he's a bit insecure about his knowledge.

    Hard to define.

Specially sence there is not a single temp. for the whole planet.

What we can see very easily is the warmer it is the more life thrives. A simple count of population of plants and animals increases the closer you get to the equator.

Likewise the poles have plenty of room for their sparsely spaced inhabitants.

    *** From BING Search:

"The majority of Canada's population is concentrated in the areas close to the Canada–US border. Its four largest provinces by area (Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta) are also (with Quebec and Ontario switched in order) its most populous; together they account for 86% of the country's population."

    .

Also funny that the polar bear population has been steadily increasing during the so called AGW  (man made Warming) period which loonietoons (and government) proclaim as catastrophic.

    It's not a belief. It's science.

Study from Astrobiology says, "Thus, higher temperatures than currently existing on Earth seem to be more favorable.”

The "ideal" temperature for life is not the same as the ideal temperature for human life. More life is aquatic than terrestrial.

Millions of people are already suffering from the catastrophic effects of extreme disasters exacerbated by climate change – from prolonged drought in sub-Saharan Africa to devastating tropical storms sweeping across Southeast Asia, the Caribbean and the Pacific. During the summer months for the northern hemisphere in 2018, communities from the Arctic Circle to Greece, Japan, Pakistan and the USA experienced devastating heatwaves and wildfires that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of people.

Exactly. And the paper didn't even present this as a "finding" or conclusion, as it's being presented by you know who -- if you read it, all they did was assume that a warmer planet might be more likely to have life. They also assumed a bigger planet than Earth, and some other things.

And as you mention they chose +5 C as a baseline, not as a warming trend. The authors say nothing about a 5 degree CHANGE on another planet which was previously stable and is home to an advanced civilization similar to our own, and that's by far the biggest threat of climate change (it's not called climate changed). If modern humanity developed on a +5 C world then keeping it at that temperature, with whatever coastlines and agricultural regions such as world has, would be unquestionably the best and cheapest future, just as keeping it at +0 C is the best and cheapest future for us today.
