Obama's My Brother's Keeper initiative?

How does President Obama's My Brother's Keeper initiative relate to the black cultural pathology paradigm Alexander-Floyd discusses? How is it related to the fatherhood initiatives ideologically?

The problems that plague the black community--unemployment, single-parent birth rate, achievement gap, crime, etc. are viewed by people on the left as societal problems that stem from "racism". Rather than hold individuals responsible for their own behavior, they excuse poor behavior with notions of blame on the white race in order to "feel" better about themselves.  It takes a good dose of cognitive dissonance to deflect blame from individual behavior to society, but that is exactly what Obama, Alexander-Floyd, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and many others do to come up with these nonsensical notions that do nothing to address the source of the problem.  The black community will be able to right the ills that it suffers from when leaders make it clear that the path to a better life includes honesty, responsibility, integrity, self-control, etc.  The black community needs to stop blaming whites and begin a cultural revolution that values good individual character traits.
