My computer is saying that no DVI/D. cable is connected I don't understand how to get the monitor to work again?

  • Change the input sources at the monitor setting menu

    try the monitor control buttons under the right edge.  one of them selects which input the monitor is checking ... monitors are plenty dumb about that ... they do not auto detect the incoming signal

    It is actually the monitor reporting that there is no connection, recheck the cable if necessary try a new one. After that update your post with make and model of computer and if possible take a picture of the connection between the monitor cable and computer and upload it here
