Assuming Biden becomes president, would you blame him if he added one justice to the supreme court?

Hypocrite Mitch McConnell would not let Obama's nomination, Merrick Garland, even get a hearing. He said it was an election year. This time around, his tune was different. The court now consists of 6 conservatives and 3 liberals.

Update:

Nominate a justice, I should have said.

Not one bit. There is nothing in the constitution about the size of the court and Republicans have clearly abandoned any pretense of adhering to principles and norms.

Nope, not at all; but make it two. It's way past time for Dems to fight fire with fire.

Democrats aren't low life, republicans are.  But we don't sit back and accept BS that was clearly unfair. Mitch McTurtle has admitted publicly that he intentionally obstructed progress in the senate to make Democrats seem unproductive. Mitch is dinosaur from a welfare state, he's a disgrace.

If adding some seats to the supreme court stops the one sided conservative agenda, so be it.

Let's just have every single town and city in the nation....regardless of size....select their own Supreme Court Justice.  That would stop all the whining, whimpering and sniveling about who got what Justice on the Supreme Court.

They could hear cases in Yankee Stadium.

Democrats should push for  ---- term limits for judges // A life appointment in 1800 would mean to an age of about 60 -- Now a life appointment can be until age 90 or more.  10 years would be more than enough.   And expand the court == maybe by 10 new judges to teach the Republicans a lesson and restore some balance in the court.  These super=religious zealots do not represent the people.

Yes , an even number of Supreme Court Justices would be fvcking retarded .

Why am I not surprised you'd suggest it ?

You know there is an odd number to prevent a tie , right ?   Apparently not , lol !

He can't without the approval of both houses.

The Supreme court is not a department of the executive.

And even FDR, at the height of his power and popularity, tried this and failed.

At the time, though, govt was in the hands of far more mature, realistic people.
