English speakers, could you help me?

Which sentence is more correct grammatically (especially I want to focus on verb tense)? I would be very grateful for any answers

Did the altered study and life rhythm over the last semester make you rethink

your ethical stance and social responsibility as artists and researchers?

Possibly the first version would be found in the USA ( the 'did' form is more commonly used in the USA)

"Has the altered.....rhythm..."  Note singular 'rhythm' thus singular verb 'has'.  This version with 'has' is more common in Britain.

Both are grammatically correct.  One is in past tense, one in past perfect tense.  They are essentially interchangeable.
