Its the average of each of its components.

For instance, the x_mid = x_avg = (17 + -9) / 2 = 4.

Can you do now the y_avg ?

Done!

Hopefully no one will spoil you the answer thereby depriving you from your personal enhancement; that would be very inconsiderate of them.

Just average the x-coordinates and then the y-coordinates.

x_mid = (17 + (-9)) / 2

= 8/2

= 4

y_mid = (1 + 3) / 2

= 4/2

= 2

Answer:(4,2)
