    Your teacher wants this answer:

    2 identical DNA molecules

    That's not completely true.  Errors happen during replication.  DNA polymerases don't always catch those with their proofreading function.  There are repair mechanisms, but they don't always repair correctly.  You can end up with mutations. 

    You should read up on how often errors in replication are retained.
