What is the subscriber name for insurance?

What is a subscriber name? Is it me? I didn't sign up for my own insurance so could it be one of my parents?

Subscription policies are a form of business insurance, not personal auto insurance.  It happens when more than one insurer provides coverage under the same contract, and it's complicated as all hell.  It's never done on home or auto insurance.

There is no such thing as a "subscriber" in auto insurance.  There are "insureds," but there are no "subscribers."

A "subscriber" in this case is the person who bought the insurance.

Subscriber:  a person who pays to receive or access a service.
