It's not a question *About* Books and Authors, and Jaz Sinc's answer applies to "First World" nations who have the money and infrastructure to keep their old people flourishing.
Canada's "for profit" nursing homes are understaffed. The residents are neglected, with oozing bedsores, inadequate and bland foods and no one to help feed them. Family members are not allowed to be with them because of Covid-19 restrictions.

NO, YOU NAME THEM.That's what your teacher expects from you, not our answer. FAIL. You represent an incredible increase in laziness among children your age. Did I say fail? EPIC FAIL.

o Not starving to death "Green Revolution" crops work. There's pretty good distribution of food.
o Access to doctors and modern medicine.
You also have "average lifespan" increasers such as
o Less death in infancy and early childhood, again thanks to hospitals
o Vaccination means fewer people dying of the diseases for which we have vaccines
o We know more about vitamins. You're not suffering from scurvy, for example.
o Fresh water and sanitation. Your drinking water does not come from sewage that may be contaminated with cholera. You washed your hands, which removed the intestinal parasite eggs before you could ingest them.
