i have a 2005 Dodge Caravan that has a fuel leak at the fuel tank. I've been told it's most likely the fuel pump. can it be just a line?

YES! The FUEL pump is usually IN the gas tank! On older EURO cars it is under the car! YOUR issues sounds more like a leaking VAPOR HOSE that goes to the engine and attaches to the VAPOR CANISTER! IT MAY be the COVER leading to the fuel tank. go to ANY OIL CHANGE center and ASK them to check things over for you! GOOD LUCK!

It could be anything on a vehicle that old. Either way whether it's the gas tank, fuel pump or line leaking it's dangerous and the gas tank needs to be dropped to check it out.
