How old do I have to be to be senator?

    Look at Article I Section 3 of the US Constitution for your answer. It's not a hard read. You should be familiar with the Constitution anyway if you're going to be a Senator, this is a good time to start. 

    You might have an easier route to the Senate if you first put your sights on being a US Representative first. In that case get to know Article I Section 2, including for their age requirements.

    Article 1, Section 3, Clause 3 requires a Senator to be 30 years of age or more.

    To be a Senator, a person has to be at least 30 years of age.
