find a fraction between 5/8 and 7/8 I answered 6/8?

is that correct?

    It's technically correct but you should reduce the fraction to 3/4.

    That's the fraction that is *exactly* halfway between which you can find by taking the average of the two fractions:

    (5/8 + 7/8) / 2

    = (12/8) / 2

    = (3/2) / 2

    = 3/4

    Yeah, anything between 5/8 and 7/8 is correct. Lol

    When generating a Farey series, (see link), we find that

    (a + c)/(b + d) is always between a/b and c/d

    One of the many fractions between 5/8 and 7/8 is 12/16 = 3/4

    6/8 or 3/4 is correct.

    there are an infinite number of answers.

    13/16 is one, as is 11/16

      or 51234/80000 if you want an answer that no one else will use

    Do they want the answer to be simplified? 

    I think that's correct  not sure tho. 

    If they want it bo simplified just put 3/4
