Sata to usb?

is sata data transfer cables alredy in the format of usb i have a sata 3.0 with the power supply but i want to have the transfer cable only to usb

    I depends on the power consumption of the drive, the design of the adapter and whether you are plugging into a USB3.0 or  USB2.0, 3.5” HDD will require more power hence the need for a separate power supply.

    Get an HDD enclosure. Mind the size.

    Won't work, they are totally different design and protocols.
