Should Social Distancing be discouraged?

It’s been proven that 66% of New York Covid victims hospitalized were in their own homes.

No it hasn't been proven.  Thank you for asking, though.

There's a few issues in this. Did you read a detailed article or mas a conclusion based on a headline?

It's a recent batch, not the main peak, but rather long past the peak.

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/usa/new-...

96% had preexisting conditions, weighted still by age primarily seniors.

These are mostly the same people who have been at home the whole time.

So the conclusion is not about social distancing being wrong. Because people at home are generally not wearing masks and social distancing, especially in the smaller apartments in New York City where almost all of it is happening.

Do you think it's possible instead that the virus is being brought into the home by other people? Or maybe it's in the home air because we know it stays alive once in the home for hours.

You know what if you tell them that they will start advocating for masks and social distancing in your own home and I’m not even kidding
