Offset change when downsizing from 18" to 15" wheels?

So I am in the process of purchasing a downsized set of wheels for winter tires on my 2020 civic. The stock wheels are 18X8 with an offset of 50mm. I purchased a set of 15x7 offset 10mm but realized after the fact that they would be further out from the fender and likely will kick up snow/salt onto the car. What is the appropriate offset for the downsized tires? I am losing an inch of with so should I drop the offset a little to keep them centered? Any help would be great! I would be surprised if 15" wheels cleared the brakes.

Negative offset wheels really shouldn't affect much, other than a little harder on the wheel bearings, your only moving a inch and a half out while loosing an inch off the rim width so that's like an inch. Appropriate offset would be the same as the factory 50mm.

    The offset DOES NOT CHANGE.
