Does Cicero point out what is wrong with gay life?

Cicero In approximately 50 BC, the Roman senator wrote:

"[T]he first principle of society consists in the marriage tie, the next in children, the next in a family within one roof, where everything is in common. This society gives rise to the city, and is, as it were, the nursery of the commonwealth."

    Cicero was gay AF.

That says nothing about "gay life."  Many gays are in stable relationships and raising children.

No, while I would agree that marriage and family are important, trying to push everybody into them, whether they are suitable or not, is not going to make for strong families. This is not even a gay issue. A straight person might not want a family, while a gay couple could have a good family.

If anything, it is more an argument in favour of same-sex marriage.

And just where did he address homosexuality in that? Plenty of married Romans had homosexual relations. As long as they had kids to fill the ranks of the army, all was good.

YES HE CLEARLY STATES THAT MARRIAGE , CHILDREN AND FAMILY IS THE WAY TO GO HERE WITH A ROOF OVER ONES HEAD AND ALL THINGS IN COMMON.

THIS KIND OF SOCIETY GIVES WAY TO GOOD CITIES AND GOOD CITIZENS, A GOOD COMMOMWEALTH.
