Do grammar police ever miss their period?

I try to ignore all the gross mistakes; but sometimes it's hard. Why are many people willing to demonstrate their second-grade understanding of their native language when grammar checkers and spell checkers are so common?

Never. We always know where it is -- or where it's supposed to be.
There should be an "s" on the end of "period" in your question.

No. They always use periods, semicolons, commas and apostrophes in the correct place.
