Can i get lowering springs for my 2005 mazda tribute to make it handle better?

I want to improve the handling of the car. I know if i wanted something more sporty i should have gotten a coupe or sedan but i got the car for free from my dad and has been very well maintained. Can i put some lowering springs on it to make it handle better?

    It won't handle better.

Lowering springs will not automatically make your car handle better.  I suggest ypu take the car to a suspension specialist and get ideas and cost for a proper modification.

Put more air in the tires

Yes lowering springs can be used. But be advised it means the car will hit the limits of travel sooner! It might also be hard to get the tires aliened to factory specs. "Drop spindles" would be better, but those might not be able to be found.
