Do you think it makes sense to have teams in college football top 20 that haven't played a game?

To me it seems if you aren't there, you aren't there.

Update:

So, if you start ranked number one you just don't play a game?

Update 2:

Oklahoma was ranked 3rd to start and is lucky and undeserving to be top 20.

    No, it doesn't seem reasonable when other leagues have played several games.

  • Do College Football Rankings really matter in August, September, October? No they don't, get back to me after Thanksgiving when we've played a lot of Conference Games and Rivalry Games.

    Who's played a game when the preseason Top 20 comes out?  What's the difference?  It's just people's opinions on who the best teams are.

    After opening weekend when only 3 games are played... those 6 teams are the top 6, and that's it?
