How come nobody has suggested that only people at risk of getting Covid should isolate? After all, the average age of a Covid death is 82)?

This virus is showing permanent damage to the lungs and neurologically, already. I have a friend who is in his early 20's, got it pretty bad and he's having lung problems after several months. Probably has severe scaring in his lungs. I wouldn't challenge this virus just because your young.

Most of the elderly are being taken care of by family or in rest homes with assisted daily living to take care of their needs. They are not independent that they can self isolate.

Those taking care of the elderly need to also isolate and thus if you want to lower the spread of the virus then everybody needs to wear masks and social distance to control the virus.

It's unethical for the young to spread a virus that is deadly for certain parts of the population just because the majority of the youth go unscathed.

Basically: everyone is at risk of getting Covid...

except for those who have already had it.
