Poll: Eddie Van Halen or Joe Satriani?

Joe has taught countless guitarists, from Kirk Hammet to Kenny Wayne Shepherd. etc. And is a total instrumental guitarist. Not everyone's cup of tea. Even though Eddie really originated, finger tapping etc. I pick JOE.

Satriani's music just sounds dull and obvious to me. It's like fusion with just the slick chops but none of the sophistication. I guess he has good dexterity or whatever but who cares. Eddie's stuff isn't exactly my taste either but I get that it's amazing music.
