Why are there so many Asians in Australia and New Zealand?

    If you knew you history (not that I am accusing you of a such a heinous thing), in the 1970s, the Australian PM at the time said something like "if we don't accept immigrants, Australia will cease to exist".  (The birth rate was WAY below the numbers needed to maintain itself.)
