There is literally nothing in known existence that ISN'T chemical. Every piece of you, everything you breathe, every door you open, all chemical.

We would all be dead if we did not live off chemicals.
The food we eat is a highly complex organic chemical.
With a few exceptions we cannot live off inorganic chemicals. The notable exceptions being Salt (Sodium chloride (NaCl)) and Baking Powder (Sodium hydrogen carbonate (NaHCO3))

Chemists know that there is nothing you live off of (including the air you breathe) that is not a chemical.

Cannot live without them, in absolute truth. But the ones you require are used for energy and for supply of elements or compounds required by the body to maintain itself in its expected chemical condition. The energy reactions can only occur when conditions are appropriate, basically.
All "food" is chemicals. A wide variety of chemicals, typically, but still chemicals. All matter is chemicals. Not all matter is useful and some is even harmful to a human, which means that some chemicals are great for us, some don't much do anything, and some will make us sick or kill us. But all of those things are chemicals.

What time are we talking about?
the human body needs carbohydrates, water and proteins, but in the longer run also a bunch of vitamins and minerals.
If you are very fat you can live without eating for months
