    Literally an untold number.

For example: in some Bible passages, large groups of prophets

    - exact number not given

    are described.

    Note that in Christianity

it is not true that all prophets are past.

    That is: Christianity

A - has promised prophets in the future

B - in most denominations, continues to recognize at least the possibility of modern prophets

C - in some denominations, most individual congregations have one or more purported prophets

D - at the opposite end of that spectrum, in a few denominations it is taught that "the age of prophets is over" and that there will be no more prophets until "the two prophets of Revelation"

Oh, there were a lot of people running around claiming to be able to 'prophesy' - but never a single example of one who actually could.

they're not really counted in The Bible because we all have the ability to be Servants and Prophets as God wills it.

    None. It’s all fiction.

Too many to be counted. The Bible mentions 20 something prophets. But their real number is in the thousands.
