The English government or Parliament is the main governing body of the UK, it has th final say on everything. But the Scots , Welsh , and Northern Irish has their own assemblies or mini parliaments to put it another way. The main English Parliament is comprised of people from the whole of the UK. In some ways it’s a little unfair on England as there are Scots , Welsh and Irish voting sometimes on purely English affairs. The Parliament in England controls all the important stuff, money, defence etc. For centuries there was only one Parliament in England at Westminster, but over very recent decades they devolved some powers to the regions, so they could have more of a say over their own bit of the UK
