Was Trump abhorrent to say we should not fear the Coronavirus or is this like Bush going to Ground Zero in 01 or Roosevelt having Xmas 1941?

For example Roosevelt said "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself" when in reality poverty had taken over the USA in the worst time in America since the Civil War 100 years before. On top of that there was Japan preparing to attack the USA and if Roosevelt had feared maybe we could have stopped the attack. Yet, there was nothing wrong with what Roosevelt said.

Also, Bush went to Ground Zero and encouraged Americans not to cower in fear but to be on alert.

So was Trump abhorrent to say what he did yesterday and was it a slap in the face to all the Americans who died of the virus or was he right and we should not fear it?

The attack on Pearl Harbor was predicted in 1924 by Billy Mitchell.   He even said they would do it on a Sunday morning as most of the sailors would be hung over and sleeping in.    We had ample reasons to expect the attack yet we were not even close to being prepared for it.

Why the hell should I fear something that I have a 99.99% chance of not dying from?
