Is Trump's dismissiveness of his covid-19 the reason he has been dropping in the polls?

Biden is sharply up the last couple of days among all pollsters, both left and right leaning, as well as those who were spot on in 2016.  Is this because of Trump trying to make his illness out to be "no big deal"?

Well, there's been a couple of things that might have moved the polls. It seems like ages ago, but it's a little more than a week ago, that the New York Times came out with a blockbuster story about Donald Trump's taxes. That story contained a number of details which might have been damaging to Trump's standing. One of these is that trumps businesses have continued to suffer tens of millions of dollars of losses throughout the past decade. This undermines the notion that he's a good businessman. The story also showed that Kiki engaged in questionable come in like the illegal, strategies to shelter his income from taxes. That could have also heard him. Finally, the returns showed that in the last couple of years he'd paid only a nominal tax bill of $750. That probably angered a bunch of supporters who paid less than that.

The next thing that happened which might of her time was the debate. Trump gave a terrible performance at the debate, interrupting and berating Joe Biden while talking very little about substance. The performance was widely panned with many commentators decrying it as a low point for American democracy. Polls taken immediately afterward show that 2/3 of people who viewed the debate believe that Joe Biden was the winner. I think that the debate might have changed some Minds. It does seem that it was able to pierce through the reality Distortion bubble that many Republicans live in. Some of them seemed shocked by what they saw from President Trump. Since they get there Venus mostly from Fox and other right-wing Affiliates, they had seen Trump mainly filtered through a system meant to make him seem more coherent and presidential. Seeing him acting that way on its own shocked some of them. One Trump supporter said that he couldn't sleep the night at the debate because he was so distraught by what he had seen.

Then there's the diagnosis. This can't be a good thing for Trump. You obviously spent months and months telling people that it was a hoax, that's no more deadly than the flu, that going to magically disappear. Then he catches it. Better Living Through Waze. It shows that he's not handling she's right, even in relation to it's on health. Second, it focuses attention on the disease where people disapprove of his performance.

Taken together, these things have hurt Trump, causing him to slide a couple points in the polls

No.  He started dropping after his 'show' at the debate.  ==  Exposing Secret Service agents for a photo op when he went out for a drive   His constant lies for the last 5+ years are starting to show to the voters.  His next vote should be by a jury -- guilty -- and send him to prison,

That could very well be...For now this has all been a show in partiality because he cannot tell the real story. He makes everything to look good on him no matter the danger it causes others. All to make Biden look bad and him "strong man" His portrayal of himself has to fit that of a King.  Maybe even God. Seriously we made a mistake allowing the Republicans to make this mistake. Funny how things work out.

I would use the word "recklessness" but yeah, that's the gist of it.

It's one of many reasons.  His tanking of the strong economy Obama handed him was another.  His brazen obvious lies humiliate moderate republicans.  His active campaign against people of color and immigrants is only popular among a a small vocal group. etc.

Of course it is. Trump the Idiot is digging himself a deeper hole every time he says something stupid. He should be popping back out soon somewhere near Beijing any day now.

reality never bothered Trump, and it won't bother his hardcore supporters

Polls dont really mean anything, if he has lost support it would be to some of the things he said, like when he talked about low income people in the suburbs, which was basically about government housing, things like that
