When will the main-stream media reference the fact that nicotine makes a person less susceptible to covid-19?

It's not clear that it does. The "evidence," if you can call it evidence, is so far just anecdotal.
The reports that smokers were less susceptible came out a while ago, and I haven't seen anything about this lately, so I suspect it turned out not to be true.

ONLY in that no one wants to be around a smoker. So 10 foot social distancing. If you want to get closer, BUTT OUT & MASK UP
. It is also true if you were a lone fisherman ..and you come in once a month...for more worms...but not everyone likes to fish.
. also true of septic tank cleaning people, it is a schitty job somebody has to do it. They shower once a month...so only friends are dogs.

Smokers have a higher death rate then non smokers. That's been shown to be a fact.

When you can prove that it is true.

They've got to do strictly controlled scientific studies first. It would be completely irresponsible to present anecdotal evidence as solid fact, especially in the current climate of panic and uncertainty. As it is, there's sure to be a number of people who take up smoking just to protect themselves, without consideration to other potential health risks.
