What does "Meaning as direction" imply from subjectivity and freedom?

Explain the statement: On the basis of the potential being contained in any factical meaning, it is possible to give a more profound sense to the term "meaning" than that of "appearing reslity". Meaning reveals itself as "direction". For example, the factical meaning of the world for the college graduate contains many references to possible modes of existing which are, asnit were, the direction his existence can take in the world.

    While Mark IX has appropriately simplified, these books may be of additional, practical insight:

    A Warrior's Path;

    Youth:  Creators of the Future;

    Understanding Yourself, by Mark Prophet;

    The Quarter-Life Breakthrough;

    Autobiography of a Yogi;

    Beams from Meher Baba;

    Kindly note that this set of answers does not directly do your assignment, rather, it provides a framing of the general "philosophy" promulgated by the questions.  If your instruction vis a vis this "philosophy" then goes forward with presumptive questioning of said "philosophy's" premises, that would constitute a more genuine education, rather than an ironically one degree of freedom indoctrination built of such constructs as Other, facticity, "possible modes of existing," etc.

    p.s.  Your deleted question loses the notion of "Holden Caulfield, B.A.", but that's okay.

    The example is a pretty good explanation, but I'll try to dumb it down a bit further.  If I say "how are you looking to find meaning in your life?" that means "where do you want to go in life, what direction will it take?"
