When people accept something negative about society that’s difficult to change (for inner peace) does that perpetuate the negative thing?

In a way, yes. When you allow something in society to continue to exist, it may affect your personal peace. For example, there are many laws constituting one's property rights, without which might bring about some form or another of

"bellum omnium contra omnes." State security, and upholding of laws towards peace, can effect one's own serenity. By not preventing something in the collective there is always the chance it will affect the individual.
