What are the types of lubricant used in automobile?

    WD40 on squeaky door hinges. Then there could be synthetic or refined motor oil.  Perhaps just a drop of Vaseline petroleum jelly to help accessories slide in and out of 12 volt pugs without friction.  Lots of lubricants in cars.  Some of the people in the cars may use a lubricant sex aid when parked in rural areas.

    oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, coolant, grease on the CV axles and brake slide pins, differential fluid if there is one, the A/C compressor has oil in that, windshield washer fluid to lubricate wiper blades.
