Disk Drill offers a very simple, yet effective, way to identify the files that can be recovered and to actually recover them.

Hi. There's a really professional set of repair software tools put together into someghing called "Hiren's boot cd" ... It has several data recovery software tools, snd You download the entire set as a DVD image & burn it onto a blank disc.

Get it, & di not save any more files to the drive, because anything new will overwrite the old data.

Also keep in mind that that You need to have the same amount of blank harddrive to place the recovered files onto ... since it's only during recovery You could prob'ly use a USB flashdrive temporarily.

Yes, but it would take someone who has the tools to do it.

It won't be cheap and they won't guarantee what they can get back.    Depending on how big the hard drive is and how long it takes them it could cost you anywhere from $100-$1000+.
