    3x - 15 > 3

    3x > 18

    x > 6

    Original inequality:

    3x - 15 > 3

    Add 15 to both sides:

    3x > 18

    Divide both sides by 3 (since 3 is positive we don't have to change the inequality symbol):

    x > 18/3

    x > 6

    So any value that is greater than 6 will be a solution (e.g. 6.00001, 7, 23, 8 billion, etc.)
