None, really, since no modern games in any part of the world involve deliberate death.

Nascar races have some similarities to Roman chariot races, people like to see crashes in both sports but with Nascar we go out of our way to protect the driver, the Romans allowed chariots to have spikes and other weapons, they went out of their way to allow drivers to harm each other.

Boxing and UFC is comparable to gladiator battles though not nearly as bloody, again we go out of our way to protect fighters, Romans went out of their way to arm their gladiators for maximum damage, and when that didn't suffice theid bring in a hungry feral animal. But essentially in both sports the fans enjoy seeing someone get hurt. Reminds me of how people called boxer Floyd Mayweather ''boring'' because he was defensive minded and he did not really hurt his foes in the latter end of his career.

We do the bloody games by videos and movies now.  Some movies are like a slaughter house of blood.  To let your children play these games desensitizes them to life.  Children need to respect life and not death.

None. The Romans did HORRIFIC things to people in their Roman "games." On a technological stand-point, they did some incredible things, including filling the colosseum with water and having a sea battle.
