What are these smudges and can I fix it?

Taken with a Canon Rebel T5, these 2 spots show up on all of my images with a solid background.

Without question, these spots are caused by dust on the sensor.  Use a blower like a Giotto Rocket Blower to remove them from the sensor.  Never use canned air.

If blowing doesn't work, then use a liquid sensor cleaner like Invisible Dust.

They're probably dirt on the sensor.  Set your camera to something like f22 and take a picture of a bright sky - any dust / dirt on the sensor will be obvious!

Cleaning the sensor yourself is easy and cheap, but make sure you get a sensor cleaning kit - cotton buds and tissues are a bad idea!  If you've only got a couple of spots you could just leave things as they are and remove the spots in post.

Clean both ends of your lens. Research on how to do it properly (or you might scratch the glass permanently). You can also have it professionally done.

If that doesn't work, the smudge may be on your camera's sensor. That is harder to clean. Better pay someone else to do it for you.
