Using 10 bits, Write the Maximum Value that can be represented in base 2; What is this value when expressed in base 10? Base 16?

    2^10 = 1024

    2^10 - 1 = 1023 = 3FF (10 1 bits)

    1,111,111,111 = 2^0 + 2^1 +2^2 +2^3 + 2^4 +2^5 + 2^6 + 2^7 + 2^8 + 2^9 = 1023

    3*(16^2) = 768, 1023-768=255, 16*15=240  15 is F.  3*(16^2) + 16*15 = 1008.  1023-1008=15.

    10=A

    11=B

    12=C

    13=D

    14=E

    15=F
