"Two police officers shot after a day of mostly peaceful protesting" - CBS News. Who believes this garbage?

    that's the thing about the liberal media. they think all Americans are stupid and will believe anything they say. they took advantage of our political apathy for decades and became so corrupt, that they can't understand that Americans have woken up and are paying attention to what they've been doing, ie, selling out America to the highest bidder.

    I wasn't there, but it doesn't sound wrong. Saying protests were "mostly peaceful" implies that there were incidents that were not peaceful. And the murders of the two police officers (wrong and reprehensible) were not necessarily related or perpetrated by the majority of the people who were protesting. 

    Things can be complicated. Many people like to paint things with sweeping generalities or make simple statements about complex events. Sometimes there's a lot going on. 

    There can be A) a peaceful protest, and B) a terrible act of violence occurring at the same time. Why would it be wrong to report on both?
