What is a good diet for someone who is inactive(due to injury)?

I recently suffered a complete achilles tendon rupture and will be unable to do any intensive workouts for 8 to 12 months. I am also severely overweight. Prior to my injury i would walk/jog 2.6 miles and on the weekends I would play pick up games of  basketball at my local park.

Intermittent fasting allow yourself to eat 12 hours and fast 12 hours(include your sleep time in this, so you are not starving). This will speed up your metabolism and keep you from being a fat a s s. Im sure you want both 😉
