Is this sentence grammatically correct?

The children pelted down the stairs, into the hallway and out of the house.

Thanks!

Grammar is almost correct, add a comma after hallway, but "pelted" is a poor choice.

Pelted is "attacked (someone) by repeatedly hurling small things at them"

It can be used figuratively (expression) as a verbal attack.

    raced, barreled, bounced

    There are other words.

    Use bolted, not pelted.
