In Michigan if someone doesn't live at your place...?

In Michigan if someone you have momentarily taken care of for 2 days and doesn't live at your place and they get arrested for domestic battery on you but have other charges like a home invasion so they are in jail for longer regardless of covid because of all their charges, at what point do their possessions they left behind at your place in this situation an apartment become yours?

    They never become yours.

What you must do is notify him in writing via certified letter that he has 30 days from the postmark to pick up his things, or to send someone else to do so on his behalf. If neither he nor his agent retrieve his belongings after the 30 days is up, then you can dispose of them as you see fit. If you don't do these things, you could potentially be held liable.
