Can exercise prevent high cholesterol?

So I have a pretty garbage diet, would be surprised if I didn't have high cholesterol (planning on getting a blood test), but for what it's worth, I do bike ride for 30 minutes per day and work at a very active job. Would that activity play a big role in lowering cholesterol levels?

Cholesterol is a grossly misunderstood substance. It doesn't build up because a person eats it. If this were true, then obese people would be dropping like flies since they obviously eat more cholesterol than normal-weight people.

The body gets roughly 25% of its cholesterol from food. It gets rid of what it doesn't have a need for.

Cholesterol doesn't just arbitrarily form in the body - it's a life-saving substance used to protect the arteries.
