In Britain I would say tat A is most commonly used, followed by C, with D a long way behind.

AS emphasises which room, C emphasises the floor.  Many dogs have dog baskets to sleep in.

My dog sleeps in my bed....

As for the answer to your question...I don't think it's "normal" that you make your dog sleep on the floor.....so no not normal......MEAN......

..........please don't take me seriously..I'm just kidding I know what you mean!

No A. appears brief but precise reflecting the same conception like the others.

The first sentence is how I would say it. I prefer short and sweet sentences. The other two sentences are just stretched out. Sentence A says all you need to say.

    A. The dog likes sleeping on the living room floor.

All are fine - answer A has the smoothest syntax.
