Should I coat my steak?

Should I coat my steak in Ghee for a couple hours or right before I cook it? Trying to make it tender as possible

Update:

I was using a Boneless Ribeye

ghee is clarified butter and does NOTHING to tenderaize meat.  Its just dairy fat, nothing special.

  • Butter/fat isn't going to break down muscle fibers; a citrus juice (the juice of a lime being a great option) will do that.

No. Just put ghee or butter on top of the steak right when it comes off the heat.

You can do that if you want. But it won't make a steak more tender.
