Can i use a chromebook as an extended screen to a windows 10 laptop?
i have my old chromebook lying around, thought i could try looking/asking for advice

a laptop screen cannot be used to display any other computer's data.
if you want to do that, you need a monitor. that is why they exist.

no. chromebooks aren't designed for that

You could install a remote desktop / VNC / TeamViewer app on the Chromebook and your laptop. It wouldn't work quite like a second monitor; there would be considerable latency, especially if your network is slow. And it can only mirror your current screen, not extend it.
